Starting its ninth year, KWKB-TV is proud to be Iowa City’s only commercial television station.  Although KWKB is located in West Branch, KWKB is licensed to serve the Iowa City community.

KWKB broadcasts 24 hours daily on Channel 10 and 20.  KWKB’s affiliation with the CW  (what was formerly the WB and UPN) and My Network TV provides 25 hours of prime time programming each week with highly rated shows. The CW provides us with shows such as Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, 90210 and America’s Next Top Model. My Network TV also provides us with Paradise Hotel, Jail, IFL and weekly movies on Thursday and Saturday nights.

KWKB is a full service commercial station offering a complete range of services for clients and the community, including creative consulting, commercial production, media consulting, and on-air scheduling and placement.  KWKB currently employs a staff of 15, with plans to add an additional 5 employees in the near future.  Its staff brings together over 50 years of experience to serve its customers.

KWKB operates from state-of-the-art technical facilities located just north of West Branch.  Broadcasting with 5,000,000 watts of effective radiated power from a 1459’ tower, KWKB covers the greater Eastern Iowa area including Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, Waterloo and the Quad Cities. KWKB is ready for the digital convergence already and continues to work towards providing a HD signal very soon.
